Nine Months
Hello Entrepreneur life!
Nine months. Emails, spreadsheets, calculations, and conversations. Listening, thinking, challenging, relearning and questioning. Sweat, dirt, cuts, bruises, sore muscles, shivering cold and calloused hands. Frustration, victory, celebration and uncertainty. New heights, deeper lows, growing, stretching, becoming more then I ever knew. This is my last nine months. This is my journey with Rosewood co.
In the last nine months I have built over 30 different pieces and served unique clients from New York, to Texas and vast across my home of North Carolina. Providing people with a place for their delicate moments of life quickly flashing by, taking back unused space in the home, providing places for gathering and relationship.
In the last nine months I have had one pop up shop weekend at West Elm, served my first two commercial clients, and have collaborated with some of the greats - like Willow & Bural, Greenway Designs, Lindsey Plevyak, Amber Denae Photography, West Elm Greensboro, and Habitual Threads just to name a few.
In the last nine months I have listened to countless hours of podcasts and audio books to learn about running a business. See, I never went to business school and no one is here to hold my hand and walk me through step by step. So from watching the success of others, I quickly learned I have to constantly find ways to fill the gap of where I am and where I want to be. (Thank you technology and the brilliant minds who have put those podcasts out there- blog post coming soon with my top recommendations.)
In the last nine months I have been able to give over $1,000 to the local orphanage we support thanks to the consistent orders that have come in. (AH! Insert happy dance!)
In the last nine months, I believe the impossible has happened. It's no walk in the park and I struggle a lot. My fears are still present, mental battles seem to be getting more fierce and with each step "climbing the ladder" means for a greater risk if I was to fall. But there is something to be said for everything that has been accomplished at the same time. My goal is to provide a table so that you can create a place for life that inspires. It's so you can get the most out of this life and provide the most for the people around you. My prayer is that as long as the Lord sees willing, Rosewood co will continue to grow and reach more people then ever with beautiful tables and donating to those in need. Our homes are sacred dwelling places, gifts to us when we are at full and rejoicing, and comfort when we are tired and torn.
Thank you for the love and support and even just following along. I am very grateful.
